The hotel features a lovely piano player in the evenings.
The Wi-Fi was painfully slow and often unavailable, making it challenging to stay connected .

Hammam and spa services, historic ambiance in lobby, swimming pool and gym facilities
Management should focus on improving cleanliness. Dirty bathrooms detracted greatly from the experience!!! Noise from street and hotel events. A proper toaster would elevate breakfast options significantly!!!

It needs to be renovated. There are probably smokers rented to non-smoking rooms, which was clearly noticeable by the smell on our floor. There were ashtrays on the tables in our rooms, too. Internet: You had to sign in again and again. Room price was debited in advance, although it was agreed that payment would be made on site.

missingWrote a review on 17 Octfriendly staffrepetitive breakfast
The staff helped make my stay really enjoyable, and the location
Was ideal for accessing major attractions like Hagia Sophia and the Grand Bazaar, just a tram ride away. The rooms are spacious and clean, with good amenities. I found the breakfast options a bit repetitive over three days.

If u like coming after walking and seeing wreaths (yes-yes) in front of ur hotel, u must book it for sure! I was staying in this hotel for 10 days and saw about 5 or 6 different funerals. Good business I guess.
1) Breakfast was awful. Old dry vegetables and fruit, sausages, which even cats cannot eat. (Tested) 2) They took for Turkish bath and massage 90euro for 30 mins and actually they just put on me 100liters of super hot water. I asked where is my massage, but girl just smiled and pretended not speaking English. 3) One day we didn`t have hot water, another day cold water. And if someone walks in hall in front of ur room, u will hear it like he walks on u. It used to be 3 stars hotel there (as taxi driver said) and I think it should still be 3 stars. The only reason why I was staying in Barcelo was overbooked Istanbul at the beginning of May.

Exploring Istanbul's charms 🇹🇷
The location's on point! Just hop on the tram and you're at the historical sites in no time. The guys at reception, like Mr Burak. Brekkie was a lekker start to the day with a nice spread!
On the downside, the drinks at the bar were a bit pricey, had to watch my budget.
